We love growing garlic!

Our garlic is naturally grown. We follow the principles of organic gardening. No commercial fertilizer is used in our garden and our compost is harvested on our farm.

A few of our garlic varieties:

German Hardneck

A favorite of our farm. Known for its robust and full-bodied flavor, it's a staple in many dishes.

Appearance: It typically features large cloves arranged in a single layer around a hard central stem, or "neck." The outer skin is often white to slightly purple.

Flavor: German hard neck garlic has a stronger flavor that can range from spicy and hot when raw to rich and mellow when cooked.

Burr it is cold: This variety thrives in colder climates, making it a favorite for gardeners in northern regions. It's known for being hardy and producing well.

Thank the Chef: Due to its potent flavor, it's often used in dishes such as roasted garlic, garlic butter, and garlic-infused oils.

Spanish Rojo

Spanish Red Garlic has a distinctive reddish hue on its skin and cloves. It is a hardneck variety

Flavor: Spanish Rojo has a milder and slightly sweeter taste compared to the more common white garlic. It offers a subtle garlic flavor that is less pungent, making it ideal for dishes where a delicate garlic presence is desired.

Uses in Cooking: Due to its milder flavor, Ajo Rojo is often used in raw preparations like salads, salsas, and dressings. It's also great for roasted garlic

dishes, marinades, and any recipe where a more subtle garlic flavor is preferred.

Health Benefits: Like other types of garlic, Ajo Rojo is rich in antioxidants and has potential health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Persian Star

Persian Star garlic is a hardneck garlic variety. It is known for its beautiful purple and white striped wrappers. It is prized for its complex, sweet, and bold flavor.

Appearance: The bulbs have striking purple and white stripes, making them not only delicious but also visually appealing.

Flavor: Persian Star Garlic has a milder, more delicate garlic heat compared to other varieties, making it suitable for raw consumption as well as roasting.

Usage: The garlic flavor is rich and sweet, especially when roasted or sautéed, and it's great for use in olive oil and salad dressings.
